Designed and fabricated by Tomlinson Woodworks, this residential interior project used custom millwork to pull together a disjointed and difficult-to-use living room space for a young family in the Corona Heights neighborhood of San Francisco.

We employed white oak and lots of gentle, playful radii to soften the space and make it warm and inviting. Beneath the minimal presentation of the materials and lines, we were able to incorporate ample drawer storage for stowing away kids books and toys.

The pulls were designed to match the 3/4” radius half-rounds and were handmade in hot-rolled steel.

We also came up with a simple, creative storage solution for an awkward under-stair opening. This casework was done in the same birch multi-ply (w/ white laminate face) as employed on the drawer fronts of the living room benchseat.

To complete the living/dining room, we will be designing and fabricating a custom dining table and floating banquette adjacent to the benchseat and in the same language in early 2020.
